HOSCO Agri s.a.r.l. is a family socially responsible company with long beekeeping tradition based on years of experience in the field. Located in the Okaybe, Keserwan coastal area, it helps the beekeeping sector in Lebanon to grow and lead regionally and internationally through supporting beekeepers on their optimum production practices and their environmentally responsible solutions for the beehives’ products. We work to produce and improve the marketing of bee’s products with a desire to maximize holistic benefits to Beekeepers, customers, and local communities. We make beeswax foundation from totally sterilized wax and our honey is ecofriendly collected by the bees in a wild foraging area and extracted using the high-tech equipment’s respecting the good manufacturing practices. 

Our Apitourism activity gives a fresh approach to eco conscious travel. It invites you on a journey into the fascinating world of bees, presenting you our cultural heritage and natural beauty. It is a new kind of holiday with a positive impact to enjoy honey tasting while learning about the amazing world of bees and beeswax processing.

 

Miryam’s Apiary

Our first and main objective is to raise awareness about the importance of bees in our life.

- Bee our Guest is an Apitourism initiative that invites people from everywhere to join us to live an unforgettable experience with the bees and fascinating nature. - We offer an interactive learning experience through our workshops and educational visits to the apiary. - At our Learning Centre we offer many activities for children from age 3+ and families to experiment a half day with the bees and the beehive products.

1. Bee creative! Workshops about producing lipbalm, candles, soap and bodycream from the hive products.
2. Bee healthy! Tasting of the primary products of the hive such as Raw Honey and Raw Pollen then tasting our processed derivatives such as Honey biscuits, Honey molasses, Honey Spread, etc…
3. Beekeeper for one day! Educational visit to the apiary with a professional beekeeper to inspect the hives and interact directly with the bees, spot the queen, harvest some honey and extract it in our Atelier using the Honey extractor and live the experience of a real beekeeper.

The cost of the visit is 10$ per person.

The visit includes: - A visit to the apiary with a professional beekeeper. - A brief interactive session about the bees and apiculture. - A degustation of our products and the possibility to make purchases of our premium raw honey.

 

Bentael Nature Reserve, nestled at an altitude of 500 meters in the beautiful city of Byblos, is a true gem of biodiversity. Kaddoum Trading s.a.r.l is a Lebanese company and a family Business. Specialized in whole beehive production. Our Brand name is known as Kaddoum, which is operating since 1989. Our products are all related to bees such as: Honey, Pollen, Propolis, Royal Jelly and Honeycomb. We do not have only conventional honey but also we have Organic Honey, Organic Honeycomb and Organic Wax. With the continuity of our work, we have been able to install our brand and spread it completely in the Lebanese markets and some foreign markets.

Now you can visit us on site. We have 2 types of visit: A- Company Visit which allows from 20 to 25 persons per visit While B- Visit the apiaries for a small group of 4 to 6 person per group. Of course, children are also included in our activities to spread awareness in order to have a broad culture on the importance of bees and environment. Our visit to apiaries begins in the beginning of the spring season month of May where the activities of bees begins and it ends in the end of August. Not just this, if you are more interested, you can visit us in the beginning of June till end of July when we are harvesting and sorting our proper honey.

We start our final tries to formulate day cream, nourishing cream, hand cream, lips cream, shaving cream, shaving soap, honey soap, beeswax soap, beach cream, shampoo, deodorant cream, body mask, honey olive oil liquid soap, beeswax candles and others products by 1997.

Now we are very well implanted in the local market and we start sending our products abroad.

Beside our cosmetic line, we have developed a natural detergents line and many olive oil soaps: antiseptic soap, anti-acné soap, anti-cellulite soap, scrubbing soap.

During tourists visit to our workshop we can make a life demonstration for soapmaking essential oils extraction can be described, and many others activities can be exposed like natural detergents, candles making.

We have already 56 products, all natural. Some of them are the results of the combination of beehive products and many aromatic plants; and a part of them are made from olive oil and herbs exracts.

During my childhood, we had in our garden several hives are a gift from my grandfather, a hundred-year-old legacy The bees were kept in hives made of pottery jars, I used to bring water to it daily and to protect it from all aggressors (reptiles and insects) and I used to wait impatiently for the honey harvest day which I still remember in details. I grew up, and my dream grew in the world of bees, until it carried me to the farthest parts of the earth participating "in the largest bee conferences in the world. I gathered a precious treasure of experience and information that was the cornerstone of establishing the first center for artificial insemination of bee queens in the Arab world, so the GOLDEN Center QUEEN CENTER.

The Golden Queen Center for Artificial Insemination of Bee Queens was inaugurated on the 20th of September 2016. The Golden Queen Center consists of:

A laboratory for artificial insemination of bee queens equipped with the latest modern equipment.

A lecture hall, which receives beekeepers and provides them with theoretical and practical training on the ground. It also receives university and school students offering lectures in which they introduce them to the importance of the bee’s role in environmental sustainability. Also, it receives from all shades of civil society, associations, and everyone interested in information about beekeeping and the benefits of its products.

The center includes a branch for the international meeting of young beekeepers in Lebanon(IMYB)

Showroom for beekeeping supplies. Golden Queen center is the exclusive representative of Lyson Company in Lebanon and is the distributor of APIVAR medicines for Varroa treatment as well as Hive alive a dietary supplement made of seaweed.

Golden Queen Center is the headquarter of Afif abi chedid beekeeping activities, and is the selling point for all Bees products from: honey - pollen - propolis - royal jelly - artificially fertilized queens - naturally fertilized queens - virgin queens, sale of beehives and bee swarm.
